Oh Taste and see the Sweetness of Jesus!
A question has been asked if there is bitterness
toward them.
“Am I?” “This is a good question.”
“No I am not bitter
behind all that has happened.”
“Why not?”
“Because of Jesus.”
“All that has happened has drawn me closer in relationship with my Heavenly Father Jesus Christ.”
“Would
you like to elaborate on how this has drawn you closer to Jesus Christ?”
“Sure!”
There are always going to
be different problems and situations that arise. The test is how you and I react to them. The
problem that came about one day when I got a call at work from CYS saying that they had received a call from someone saying
there was a problem in my home. In our home at this time were my husband, myself, our two children, and
my mother. My mother had called CYS on a Friday and she was out of there on Sunday. How
was I able to make this decision of telling her she could no longer live with us? It was a hard decision
I had to make. This is my mother whom I love, but I had to tell her. I asked myself
who is first in my life? Was I going to continue to allow constant trouble and drama to remain?
What does God’s word say about this? In Matthew 10:34-36 says, “Do not think that I
came to bring peace but a sword.” For I have come to set man against his father, a daughter against
her mother, and a daughter –in- law against her mother – in- law; and a man’s enemies will be those of his
own household.” Jesus wants to know if He has my heart and will I choose Him in every situation.
Jesus is asking, Am I worthy enough for you to place Me first in your life? Jesus asks do I trust
Him enough to provide for my needs and the needs of my family. Do you trust Me enough to pay your expenses
and bills? Do you believe that I will give you peace? Do you believe that you can find
rest in Me? Do you know that I Love you? Yes Jesus, I believe in my heart in all of
these situations because You tell me in Your Word. In Matthew 6: 33, “You tell me to seek first the
kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to me.” In Matthew 6:25-26,
“You tell me do not worry about my life, what I will eat or what I will drink, nor about my body, what I will put on.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they
neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value
than they?” In Proverbs 3:5-8, You tell me, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean
not on you own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not
be wise in my own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength
to your bones.” In Psalm 119:165, You tell me, “Great peace have those who love Your law and
nothing causes them to stumble.” In John 14:27 You tell me, “Peace I leave with you, My peace
I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid.” In Psalm 37:7-8 You tell me, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do
not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease
from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret – it only causes harm.” In John 3:16 You tell me,
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life.” So you see my life is different now that I am pursuing to please my Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. I do not do the same things anymore, meaning I am not pleasing others or placing anyone or
anything in Your place Dear Jesus. This has angered many people because they have lost control over me.
Dear Jesus You are pulling rank and rightfully so. I am following Your lead Dear Jesus.
My answer is yes Jesus,
you have my heart and You are my choice. Yes Jesus, You are first in my life. Yes Jesus,
I see each day that You have provided all my needs. Thank You Jesus for my life, thank you Jesus for opening
up my eyes. Thank You Jesus for my husband, thank You Jesus for our children, thank You Jesus for our church
family, thank You Jesus for the trials, and thank You Jesus for the good and bad days. Thank You Jesus
for loving me so. Thank You Jesus for giving me new life in You. I love You Jesus!
